Dessert lovers have tons of choices when it comes to topping off a great meal. But there really is only one choice to top off those desserts—whipped cream.
Our client, Reddi-Wip wished to regain it’s leader position and market share against it’s much larger and deeper-pocketed competitor, Cool Whip – which, ironically, had just launched an on-shelf aerosol product to go head to head with Reddi-Wip. By reshaping the playing field and shifting the conversation, we told consumers what they already knew… that real cream beats hydrogenated oil… everytime. Despite being outspent 2 ½ to 1, Reddi-wip shipments increased over 40% after this campaign, and Cool Whip aerosol was discontinued. Additionally, Reddi-wip retained many Cool Whip frozen tub consumers who tried the aerosol.
