The old adage, “timing is everything” came true once again on Monday, January 29th of 2007. ECD Dennis Ryan was approached with an idea that would make this week at Element79 a truly historic one. “Isn’t it cool?”, he was asked, “For the first time ever, two African American coaches are facing each other for Football’s highest honor. Wouldn’t a spot that highlighted two groups of African American fans, rooting for different teams, but sharing in a singular pride in the larger historical accomplishment be a great one to air during the upcoming game?” Dennis’ reaction was equally memorable. “Great!” He said “Now let’s figure out how to do it in less than a week”.
